The producer price of grain at the farm level in the Special Region of Yogyakarta in May 2023 for the quality of Milled Dry Grain (GKG) amounted to IDR 5,732.14, up 2.36 percent compared to the previous month of IDR 5,600.00. In the quality of Harvested Dry Grain (GKP), it increased by 0.84 percent, from IDR 4,822.50, to IDR 4,862.96 in May 2023.
The highest grain price at the farmer level for GKG quality grain was IDR 5,900 per kg with Mekongga, Semeru, Sunggal, Ciherang, Inpari and IR-64 varieties in Sleman District. Meanwhile, the highest price at the farmer level for GKP quality grain was IDR 5,300 per kg with the Ciherang variety in Kulon Progo District. The lowest grain price at the farmer level is IDR 4,700 per kg for GKP quality grain with the IR-64 variety in Bantul Regency.During May 2023, the average price of GKP at the farm level was IDR 4,862.96 per kg or an increase of 0.84 percent and at the milling level IDR 4,912.96 per kg or an increase of 0.83 percent compared to the price of the same quality grain in the previous month. The average price of GKG at the farm level was IDR 5,732.14 per kg or increased by 2.36 percent and at the milling level was IDR 5,817.86 per kg or increased by 2.31 percent. The price of out-of-quality grain in this period does not exist because from all observations there is no out-of-quality grain.Based on the varieties of grain produced and sold by farmers in May 2023, the IR-64 variety accounted for 38.18 percent, Inpari for 25.45 percent, Ciherang for 20.00 percent, Mekongga, Suppadi and Situ Bagendit for 3.64 percent each, and other varieties for 5.45 percent.Based on the National Food Agency Regulation No. 6 of 2023 on the Government Purchasing Price (HPP), out of 55 observations in May 2023 conducted in 3 districts, the price of grain sold by farmers was 94.55 percent below the HPP.
