Abstract

April 2023 exports reached US$31.4 million, down 24.52 percent compared to the previous month.
  • Imports in April 2023 were valued at US$7.1 million, down 46.62 percent.
  • The export value of Yogyakarta Special Region in April 2023 reached US$31.4 million, down 24.52 percent compared to March 2023. Compared to April 2022, the export value decreased by 44.33 percent.
  • Cumulatively, the export value of the Special Region of Yogyakarta from January to April 2023 reached US$149.9 million, down 30.86 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
  • The largest April 2023 exports were to the United States at US$12.4 million, followed by Japan and Germany at US$2.4 million and US$1.8 million respectively. The contribution of the three reached 52.87 percent. Meanwhile, exports to the European Union amounted to US$8.4 million and ASEAN amounted to US$0.7 million.
  • The largest decrease in export value in April 2023 against March 2023 occurred in non-knitted apparel amounting to US$5.0 million. Meanwhile, the largest increase was leather goods at US$0.8 million.
  • By sector, exports of agricultural products in April 2023 decreased by 60.00 percent compared to March 2023. Meanwhile, exports of processing industry products fell 24.09 percent. Compared to April 2022, exports of agricultural products showed the same value. Meanwhile, exports of processing industry products fell by 44.48 percent.
  • According to the province of the port of loading, the largest exports of the Special Region of Yogyakarta in April 2023 were sent through Central Java by 71.34 percent, followed by DKI Jakarta 27.07 percent, East Java 0.64 percent, and D.I. Yogyakarta 0.95 percent.
