Abstract

The Farmer Term of Trade (NTP) in August 2023 amounted to 103.38, up 0.99 percent compared to the previous month which was recorded at 102.37.

The NTP for Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta in August 2023 reached 103.38, up 0.99 percent compared to the previous month of 102.37. The NTP of food crops subsector was 101.72; horticulture subsector 124.88; smallholder plantation crops subsector 103.32; livestock subsector 100.64; and fisheries subsector 91.52.

The increase in the combined NTP index this month was influenced by the increase in three subsectors, namely: food crops by 2.75 percent, horticulture 2.15 percent, and fisheries 0.26 percent. While two subsectors fell: smallholder plantation crops by 0.52 percent, and livestock 3.14 percent. The Agricultural Household Business Term of Trade (NTUP) of Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta in August 2023 was recorded at 105.48, up 0.51 percent compared to the previous month of 104.94.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) for rural areas in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta in August 2023 generally reached 121.07, experiencing deflation of 0.58 percent compared to the CPI in the previous month which was recorded at 121.78.

Of the 34 provinces in August 2023, 30 provinces increased, and 4 provinces decreased. The highest increase in NTP occurred in West Sulawesi by 2.47 percent, while the largest decrease in NTP occurred in South Sumatra by 1.32 percent.
