Abstract

  • Exports in February 2024 reached US$40.35 million, up 0.42 percent compared to the previous month.
  • Imports in February 2024 were worth US$9.99 million, down 28.03 percent compared to the previous month.
  • The export value of D.I. Yogyakarta in February 2024 reached US$40.35 million or up 0.42 percent compared to January 2024. Compared to February 2023, the export value increased by 0.74 percent.
  • The largest exports in February 2024 were to the United States, namely US$15.11 million, followed by Germany at US$4.98 million, and Japan at US$3.79 million. The contribution of the three reached 59.18 percent. Meanwhile, exports to the European Union were US$10.79 million and ASEAN was US$0.68 million.
  • The largest increase in exports in February 2024 compared to January 2024 occurred in non-knitted apparel at US$1.84 million. Meanwhile, the largest decrease was in leather goods at US$0.64 million.
  • By sector, agricultural exports in February 2024 fell 75.61 percent compared to January 2024. On the other hand, exports of processed industrial products rose 1.26 percent. Compared to February 2023, agricultural exports fell 52.32 percent. On the other hand, exports of processed industrial products rose 1.05 percent.
  • By loading port province, the largest exports of D.I. Yogyakarta in February 2024 were sent via Central Java at 72.52 percent, followed by DKI Jakarta at 26.22 percent, D.I. Yogyakarta at 0.87 percent, East Java at 0.37 percent, and others at 0.02 percent.
  • The import value of D.I. Yogyakarta in February 2024 reached US$9.99 million, down 28.03 percent compared to January 2024. Meanwhile, when compared to February 2023, the import value rose 0.71 percent.
  • The three largest import supplier countries in February 2024 were China at US$4.57 million, followed by Hong Kong at US$1.98 million, and the United States at US$0.95 million. The largest decrease in imports from China was US$1.66 million and the largest increase from the United States was US$0.19 million.
  • The three largest import commodity groups in February 2024 were knitted fabrics at US$1.57 million; artificial filaments at US$1.37 million; and layered woven fabrics at US$1.23 million. The largest decrease in imports of goods in February 2024 compared to January 2024 was knitted fabrics at US$1.46 million.
  • According to the category of use of goods, the value of imports in February 2024 compared to the same period the previous year, capital goods fell 32.08 percent, followed by consumer goods fell 22.97 percent. Meanwhile, raw/auxiliary materials rose 4.74 percent.
  • The trade balance of D.I. Yogyakarta in February 2024 experienced a surplus of US$30.36 million. This value is higher than the same period the previous year which recorded a surplus of US$30.13 million.
