Abstract

April 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province was 2.87 percent. The highest y-on-y inflation occurred in the City of Yogyakarta at 3.00 percent.
In April 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province was 2.87 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.20. Gunungkidul Regency was recorded to have experienced y-on-y inflation of 2.75 percent with a CPI of 105.44 and the City of Yogyakarta experienced y-on-y inflation of 3.00 percent with a CPI of 107.12.
Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in most expenditure group indices, namely: food, beverages, and tobacco group by 7.23 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.83 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.30 percent; household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group by 0.67 percent; health group by 2.41 percent; transportation group by 1.91 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 0.97 percent; education group by 1.72 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 1.20 percent; and personal care and other services group by 3.85 percent. Meanwhile, the information, communication, and financial services group experienced a decrease in the index by 0.08 percent. The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate in April 2024 was 0.09 percent and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate in April 2024 was 0.89 percent.
