Abstract

July 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province was 2.16 percent. The highest y-on-y inflation occurred in the City of Yogyakarta at 2.26 percent.
In July 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province was 2.16 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.82. Gunungkidul Regency was recorded to have experienced y-on-y inflation of 2.08 percent with a CPI of 104.96 and the City of Yogyakarta experienced y-on-y inflation of 2.26 percent with a CPI of 106.87.
Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in most expenditure group indices, namely: food, beverages, and tobacco group by 4.34 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.53 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.51 percent; household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group by 1.18 percent; health group by 2.76 percent; transportation group by 0.52 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 1.65 percent; education group by 2.71 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 0.92 percent; and personal care and other services group by 5.94 percent. Meanwhile, the information, communication, and financial services group experienced a decrease in the index by 0.25 percent. The month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation rate in July 2024 was 0.03 percent and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate in July 2024 was 0.53 percent.
