Abstract

During June 2021, the Yogyakarta Special Region's exports amounted to US$42.7 million, an increase of 9.21 percent compared to the previous month. Meanwhile, imports amounted to US$11.5 million, down 28.13 percent.
  • The export value of the Special Region of Yogyakarta in June 2021 reached US$42.7 million, an increase of 9.21 percent compared to exports in May 2021. Cumulatively, the export value from January to June 2021 reached US$258.3 million, an increase of 44.87 percent over the same period in 2020. .
  • The largest export in June 2021 was sent to the United States at US$18.2 million. Followed by Germany and Japan with US$3.3 million each. During January-June 2021, the contribution of the three countries reached 55.48 percent.
  • Non-Knitted Garments (62); Furniture, Home Lighting (94); and Leather Goods (42) are the three commodity groups with the highest export value in June 2021. Each amounting to US$14.5 million; US$5.3 million; and US$4.3 million.
  • The import value of the Special Region of Yogyakarta in June 2021 reached 11.5 million, down 28.13 percent compared to May 2021. Cumulatively, the import value from January to June 2021 reached US$ 77.2 million, an increase of 35.92 percent compared to the same period 2020.
  • The largest supplier of imported goods in June 2021 was China with a value of US$3.5 million. Then followed by Hong Kong and Papua New Guinea with US$2.1 million each. • The top three groups of imported commodities in June 2021 are Coffee, Tea and Spices (09) amounting to US$2.1 million. Then Artificial Filaments (54) for US$1.5 million and Special Woven Fabrics (58) for US$1.2 million.
