Abstract

The Farmer Terms of Trade (NTP) in May 2022 amounted to 97.32, an index decrease of 0.84 percent compared to the previous month which was recorded at 98.14.

The NTP of D.I. Yogyakarta in May 2022, reached 97.32, experiencing a decrease in the index of 0.84 percent compared to the previous month of 98.14. The NTP of food crops subsector was 92.51; horticulture subsector was 118.75; smallholder plantation crops subsector was 114.99; livestock subsector was 96.47; and fisheries subsector was 92.87.
The decline in the combined NTP index this month was caused by the decline in three subsectors, namely: food crops 1.83 percent, smallholder plantation crops 0.95 percent and livestock 0.95 percent. While two subsectors experienced an increase, namely: horticulture by 4.79 percent, and fisheries by 0.17 percent. The Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) of D.I. Yogyakarta in May 2022 was recorded at 98.32, a decrease of 0.49 percent compared to the previous month of 98.80.
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) for rural areas in D.I. Yogyakarta in May 2022 generally reached 115.06, experiencing inflation of 0.77 percent compared to the CPI in the previous month which was recorded at 114.19.
Of the 34 provinces in May 2022, 5 provinces experienced an increase, and 29 provinces experienced a decrease. The highest increase in NTP occurred in Central Java by 1.02 percent, while the largest decrease in NTP occurred in Riau by 14.57 percent.
