Abstract

June 2022 inflation amounted to 0.52 percent. The largest share that drove inflation was red chili peppers, which rose by 42.54 percent.
Yogyakarta City in June 2022 experienced inflation of 0.52 percent due to an increase in the consumer price index of the food group by 1.74 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.13 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 0.18 percent; equipment, equipment and routine household maintenance group by 0.44 percent; health group by 0.31 percent; information, communication and financial services group by 0.03 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 0.10 percent; food and beverage supply/restaurant group by 0.57 percent; and personal care and other services group by 0.84 percent. Meanwhile, the transportation group experienced deflation of 0.52 percent, and the education group was relatively stable.
90 cities calculated the inflation rate, 85 cities experienced inflation and 5 cities experienced deflation.
The calendar inflation rate (June 2022 against December 2021) was 3.88 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (June 2022 against June 2021) was 5.33 percent.
