Abstract

July 2022 inflation amounted to 0.47 percent. The biggest contributor to inflation was shallots, which increased by 28.50 percent.
Yogyakarta City in July 2022 experienced inflation of 0.47 percent due to an increase in the consumer price index of the food group by 1.25 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.19 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 0.18 percent; equipment, equipment and routine household maintenance group by 0.31 percent; health group by 0.11 percent; transportation group by 0.31 percent; information, communication and financial services group by 0.01 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 0.02 percent; food and beverage supply/restaurant group by 0.37 percent; and personal care and other services group by 0.51 percent. Meanwhile, the education group was relatively stable. The 90 cities for which inflation figures were calculated, all experienced inflation.
The calendar inflation rate (July 2022 against December 2021) was 4.37 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (July 2022 against July 2021) was 5.70 percent.
