Abstract

The Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) in March 2023 amounted to 102.14, down 0.79 percent compared to the previous month which was recorded at 102.96.

The NTP of the Special Region of Yogyakarta in March 2023 reached 102.14, a decrease of 0.79 percent compared to the previous month of 102.96. The NTP of food crops subsector was 100.62; horticulture subsector 127.80; smallholder plantation crops subsector 101.47; livestock subsector 97.45; and fisheries subsector 92.01.

The decline in the combined NTP index this month was due to the decline in two subsectors, namely: food crops by 2.49 percent, and fisheries by 0.22 percent. While three subsectors rose, namely: horticulture by 1.74 percent, smallholder plantations by 2.73 percent, and livestock by 1.35 percent. The Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) of Yogyakarta Special Region in March 2023 was recorded at 104.02, down 0.41 percent compared to the previous month of 104.45.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) for rural areas in Yogyakarta Special Region in March 2023 generally reached 120.35, experiencing inflation of 0.66 percent compared to the CPI in the previous month which was recorded at 119.56.

Of the 34 provinces in March 2023, 26 provinces experienced an increase, and 8 provinces experienced a decrease. The highest increase in NTP occurred in Riau by 4.35 percent, while the largest decrease in NTP occurred in Banten by 1.67 percent.
