Abstract

The percentage of the poor population in March 2023 decreased to 11.04 percent, down 0.45 percentage points compared to September 2022, and down 0.30 percentage points compared to March 2022.

The number of poor people in March 2023 was 448.47 thousand people and decreased by 15.2 thousand people compared to September 2022. When compared to March 2022, the number of poor people in March 2023 decreased by 6.3 thousand people.

The percentage of the urban poor population in March 2023 amounted to 10.27 percent and decreased by 0.37 percentage points compared to September 2022. The rural poor population in March 2023 amounted to 13.36 percent and decreased by 0.64 percentage points compared to September 2022.

The number of poor people in urban areas in March 2023 was 312.83 thousand people, a decrease of 8.2 thousand people compared to September 2022. Meanwhile, the number of poor people in rural areas in March 2023 was 135.63 thousand people, a decrease of 6.9 thousand people compared to September 2022.

The Poverty Line in March 2023 was recorded at Rp573,022.00/capita/month with a composition of the Food Poverty Line of Rp414,480.00 (72.33 percent) and the Non-Food Poverty Line of Rp158,542.00 (27.67 percent).

In March 2023, on average, poor households in D.I. Yogyakarta had 4.32 household members. When viewed on a household basis, the household poverty line reached IDR 2,475,455.00/household/month.
