Abstract

  • April 2024 exports reached US$34.34 million, down 20.66 percent compared to the previous month.
  • April 2024 imports were worth US$13.22 million, up 43.07 percent compared to the previous month
  • The export value of D.I. Yogyakarta in April 2024 reached US$34.34 million or down 20.66 percent compared to March 2024. Compared to April 2023, the export value increased by 9.22 percent.
  • The largest exports in April 2024 were to the United States, namely US$15.11 million, followed by Japan at US$2.74 million, and Germany at US$2.33 million. The contribution of the three reached 58.77 percent. Meanwhile, exports to the European Union were US$6.78 million and ASEAN was US$1.25 million.
  • The largest decline in exports in April 2024 compared to March 2024 occurred in non-knitted apparel at US$4.73 million. Meanwhile, the largest increase was essential oils, perfumed cosmetics by US$0.85 million.
  • By sector, agricultural exports in April 2024 fell by 64.10 percent compared to March 2024. Meanwhile, exports of processed industrial products fell by 20.26 percent. Compared to April 2023, agricultural exports fell by 22.22 percent. On the other hand, exports of processed industrial products rose by 9.40 percent.
  • By loading port province, the largest exports of D.I. Yogyakarta in April 2024 were sent via Central Java at 70.79 percent, followed by DKI Jakarta at 27.78 percent, D.I. Yogyakarta at 1.08 percent, East Java at 0.32 percent, and others at 0.03 percent.

  • The import value of D.I. Yogyakarta in April 2024 reached US$13.22 million, up 43.07 percent compared to March 2024. Meanwhile, when compared to April 2023, the import value rose by 87.25 percent.
  • The three largest import supply countries in April 2024 were China at US$5.12 million, followed by Hong Kong at US$2.32 million, and the United States at US$2.26 million. The largest increase in imports from China was US$2.18 million and the largest decrease from South Korea at US$0.35 million.
  • The three largest import commodity groups in April 2024 were knitted fabrics at US$2.30 million; locomotives and railway equipment at US$1.70 million; and artificial filaments at US$1.38 million. The largest increase in imports of goods in April 2024 compared to March 2024 was locomotives and railway equipment at US$1.24 million.
  • According to the category of use of goods, the value of imports in April 2024 compared to the same period the previous year, capital goods increased by 100.00 percent, followed by raw/auxiliary materials up 93.53 percent, and consumer goods up 12.07 percent.
  • The trade balance of D.I. Yogyakarta in April 2024 experienced a surplus of US$21.12 million. This value is lower than the same period the previous year which recorded a surplus of US$24.38 million.
