Abstract

Exports in May 2024 reached US$43.43 million, up 26.47 percent compared to the previous month.
Imports in May 2024 were worth US$15.16 million, up 14.67 percent compared to the previous month.
The export value of the Special Region of Yogyakarta in May 2024 reached US$43.43 million or up 26.47 percent compared to April 2024. Compared to May 2023, the export value increased by 4.85 percent.
The largest exports in May 2024 were to the United States, namely US$18.27 million, followed by Japan at US$4.24 million, and Germany at US$3.69 million. The contribution of the three reached 60.33 percent. Meanwhile, exports to the European Union were US$11.02 million and ASEAN was US$0.56 million.
The largest increase in exports in May 2024 compared to April 2024 occurred in non-knitted apparel at US$2.16 million. Meanwhile, the smallest increase was in knitted goods at US$0.02 million.
By sector, agricultural exports in May 2024 rose 7.14 percent compared to April 2024. Meanwhile, exports of processed industrial products rose 26.55 percent. Compared to May 2023, agricultural exports fell 50.00 percent. On the other hand, exports of processed industrial products rose 5.25 percent.
By loading port province, the largest exports of the Special Region of Yogyakarta in May 2024 were sent via Central Java at 66.20 percent, followed by DKI Jakarta at 32.81 percent, East Java at 0.46 percent, the Special Region of Yogyakarta at 0.02 percent, and other ports at 0.51 percent.
